Over the Easter weekend, a lone Grey Whale passed away and washed up on the shores of East Sooke Park, about 30 minutes west of Victoria, BC. Locals said the whale had been in Beecher Bay for the last couple of days just milling around. I believe it passed away at some point Friday. We had a massive wind storm that night and I think it got pushed onto the beach then. There were dozens of families and people taking pictures of this awesome creature.

Mt Frink Hope Lake forbidden Plateau Strathcona Park all the three mount Frink 360 videos have the same story, save you read it 3 times only the lakes views change, all the same mountains Sunday 12th 2009, temp ? hot! breeze but not over windy, like a dehydrator. i planned to have a few more videos of three other mountains but thinking didnt work the way, life got in the way. anyway! 12:18 pm and i find myself standing on the Summit of Mount Frink about 6+ hours after leaving my Kwai lake camping spot that Foggy morning (most like sleeping in the cloudy again). going for a little hike today(date above) it going to be a 21.6km 12hourplus hour hike gaining 860+m over the first 10. whatever kms was. i started have problems before i reach the turning point for Mt. Albert Edward, and decide to for go the 1.7kms and 400m i think it is and continue with and return trip and summit my other400m up hill before heading to camp. the up hill the the summit was really more since i had to descend before heading up to the summit of mount Frink. i did 3 videos of the different view i found. the 360 i think start and finish in the same spots, the back ground mountains in all are pretty much the same you’ll see MT.washington ski hill, the forbidden plateau in front of it. i also pan by Albert Edwards, Mount George V, Castlescrag mountain, off in the distant background your See Comox glacier and Golden Hinde the island Tallest Mountain. i’ll take the time to learn youtubes labeling system …
