Where is the best place to kayak with orcas near Vancouver?
Our top choices right now are Johnston Straight and San Juan. Are there any other places that I should absolutely consider?
I get the feeling that the most of Vancouver/Vancouver Island has excellent whale watching…

The west coast of Canada reveals a Shangri–la of towering mountains, steep fjords, isolated beaches, untouched rainforests and abundant marine life. this vast stretch of coastal wilderness features , Vancouver Island and the Queen Charlotte Islands.
from the Mediterranean-like Gulf Islands, to the wilds of Johnstone Strait, where you can kayak with Orcas, or “killer whales”. Further north lie the Queen Charlotte Islands. As the only part of Canada that escaped the last Ice Age, kayaking the Queen Charlotte Islands brings to light a flora and fauna dramatically different from those of the mainland.
